Marc Sadler

Technological contamination

A French citizen born in Austria, Marc Sadler has lived and worked as a designer in France, the United States, Asia, and Italy. One of the first students to graduate in esthétique industrielle from the ENSAD in Paris, he is a pioneer when it comes to experimenting with materials and technological contamination, which are cornerstones of his work as a designer. In the early 1970s, he perfect the very first ski boot made from fully recyclable thermo-plastic, which was subsequently commercialised by the Italian company Caber. Today, thanks to his renowned eclecticism, he works as a consultant for companies in a range of industry sectors. A winner of no less than four Compasso d'Oro awards (1994, 2001, 2008 and 2014), in addition to four Honourable Mentions (1994, 1998, 2008 and 2018) from the ADI Industrial Design Association, he has received a plethora of important international awards over the years.
