A voice outside the flock
Around the flock, the sheep, and especially the black sheep, an endless body of literature has developed over time. Aphorisms, metaphors, and interpretations of every kind have turned it into a symbol rich with meaning—so much so that mentioning them all would be impossible.
Among the many images this evocative universe offers, the one that best represents us and has inspired our design journey is the expression “a voice outside the flock.”
For us, the black sheep is not a symbol of difference to be excluded, but rather the emblem of those who choose to stand out with courage, questioning established patterns and following their own path, even when it means going against the current.
In a constant tension between freedom and belonging, and in open opposition to the conformity of the flock, the black sheep embodies a value we deeply identify with: the ability to transform diversity into an act of authenticity.
Because true richness lies precisely in difference.
Embeè is more than just a lamp.
First and foremost, it is a symbol, a message, a presence
capable of evoking meanings that go far beyond the object
itself.
Its simple, archetypal form allows it to inhabit space
naturally, as a discreet yet unmistakable presence.
Any function one may choose to assign to it becomes a free
interpretation by the person who experiences it.
From this reflection comes its encounter with Stick, a
minimal and understated table lamp designed not to
impose itself, but to accompany.
Its soft, focused light envelops Embeè, enhancing its
character and gently isolating its essence.
It is a light that does not invade.
It defines.
